College Wide Ability Assessment: Critical Thinking, Preliminary Report.
For SPSCC, the first College Wide Ability that was chosen to be assessed was critical thinking as this appears on both the transfer and technical CWA lists. This assessment process was incorporated into each department’s 2007-09 assessment plan for those courses that included critical thinking as an outcome. The critical thinking rubric was developed by a small subgroup of ARC, which served as an interdisciplinary task force.
